Going on it's seventh year this theater program brings together kids from many social and ethnic backgrounds. Children learn to strengthen their acting, singing skills and perform in a play. This group has already performed six major productions.

Stagekids is dedicated to the education and enrichment of all audiences. This successful workshop is designed to introduce school age children to the theatrical experience.

The groups performance credits directed by Carlos Laboy include; "Face’s" Written by Carlos Laboy, "How To Eat Like A Child" by John Forrester,  "Morph" by Andrew Agostino,  and "Bugsy Malone Jr."  by Allan Parker, and "The Kids from Camelot" by Joseph P. Kochiss, And recently, "Into The Woods Jr." a part of The Broadway Junior Collection.

My staff, volunteers and I work closely with all the children, giving them the necessary tools to enhance their skills and perform confidently on stage. The children will receive 3 hours (every Saturday) of instruction in technical theater, voice and acting, leading to the groups showcase performance.

Stagekids is looking to the future now in its 6th year. As a nonprofit youth and adult organization, the volunteer staff, crew, performers, technicians, and artisans look forward to offering audiences of all ages another great year of entertainment by the kids.
