Performed March 29th and 30th of 2003

Some of the cast had never been exposed to Broadway. Acting was reserved for Denzel Washington, and Jennifer Lopez. This was not something they could image for themselves. Carlos inspired them, nurtured them, and instilled the confidence that made them shine on Saturday and then again on Sunday. He created characters for the stage and beyond.

synopsis

The characters in this play tell different stories . They are children who street-peddle and steal, kids who have no families. It's about children earning their keep. It's about children living in a world that has taken away their youth, and how together they gather strenght.  It is about thier inner search for acceptance in a world that has lost inner contact with one another.
