Free News Workshop for Teen’s!

Carlos Laboy, Mosholu Montefiore Community Center,Theater Specialist, has recruited Bronx teens to play roles for a new project callled "Teen To Teen News". The team includes; News anchors, camera, lighting and a committee who write and directs the show under his direction. The project provides an excellent opportunity for valuable exposure in journalism & communication.
 
MMCC Teen to Teen News is a news program for teens by teens. The program will be shown monthly to the center's teen program participants, with hopes of being picked up by a local cable station. The program will provide information and news to teens in a way that's educational as well as entertaining. The focus of the program is young people. This program inserts the clear informed voice of teens into the adult-dominated media. Teens meet twice a-week, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
Teens will have access to two video cameras and computer editing equipment to put their show together.
